The first stage of any project involves a study of the clients needs, products and market. Spiraco can conduct informal research and usability testing to determine the most efficient solutions. The final result of this stage of the process is a research document. It serves as a blueprint for the design phase.

Concept shapes the vision of the project. A strong concept conveys functionality, story and identity. Concept defines broad parameters that will shape the overall design.

Functionality creates a framework that allow users to access information or perform a task. This is the most important aspect of design because in order to be useful, a product has to work well. Our goal is to make it work exceptionally well.

Branding a product is an integral part of design. How well does the solution work with existing corporate identity? In the case of a new identity, do disparate elements work together?

The production phase varies from project to project but more than anything we strive for high quality standards. In this phase we create graphics, typography, programming, music, video, animation and other elements needed to complete the deliverables.

Although a projects production is completed, there are many variables that must be tested to insure satisfaction. Some elements that must be checked for compliance include platforms, domain names and hosts for web-based projects, and paper and printing quality in the case of traditional print-related formats.

The final stage of the Spiraco project process is standardization. This phase draws together the final documentation that accompanies implementation, such as print and electronic specs, guidelines and color values for logo usage.
